Job summary

Carolinas Palliative Care & Hospice Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient palliative care team. You will work with physicians, APPs, nurses, social workers, and chaplains to deliver compassionate, coordinated care.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with call rotation every 10 to 12 weeks; a physician is available for backup support. The role includes about 1,000 visits per year and 3,000 RVUs per year.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner education and certification required. North Carolina state licensure required or ability to obtain prior to start.
• At least one year of experience is preferred. Palliative care or ICU fellowship experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, and coordinated care planning.
• Work closely with physicians and APP partners, with supervising physician support available.
• Participate in the call rotation with physicians and APPs.
• Provide inpatient palliative care consultation and ongoing support for patients and families.
