Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Exeter, NH area. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, you will provide professional nursing care within the assigned unit and coordinate care planning with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include adhering to standards of practice, safe medication administration, and accurate documentation. The role includes mentoring staff, efficient delegation, and participating in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license – NH state or any other compact state.
• BCLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).
• ACLS certification (or within 1 year of hire).
• BSN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies and nursing standards while delivering care.
• Provides professional nursing care and coordinates care planning on the unit.
• Maintains accurate, timely documentation and uses information systems in practice.
• Precepts and mentors new staff, supports education and professional development.
• Delegates tasks appropriately based on licensure and experience.
• Performs comprehensive physical assessments and initial history taking.
• Prioritizes patient care and makes sound clinical decisions.
• Communicates effectively during hand-offs and discharge planning.
• Evaluates outcomes and modifies care plans as needed.
• Educates patients and families, develops education materials.

Education

RN license – NH state or any other compact state
