Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and provide evidence-based interventions to improve independence and mobility in an inpatient setting.

The role requires NJ OT licensure, NBCOT certification, and 1–2 years of inpatient experience. A per diem, day-shift schedule with hourly pay is offered, with collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Current New Jersey OT license required; NBCOT certification required.
• 1–2 years inpatient hospital OT experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inpatient patients' strength, ROM, ADLs, mobility and functional performance.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized OT plans of care based on evaluation findings and goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve independence and mobility.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PTs, SLPs, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Complete timely evaluations, treatment notes, progress documents, and discharge recommendations.
