Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Inpatient Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat inpatient populations, focusing on independence in daily activities and functional mobility.

You will develop individualized plans, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families for safe discharge. NJ OT licensure and NBCOT certification are required, with 1–2 years inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensure: New Jersey OT license required; NBCOT certification required.
• Experience: 1–2 years inpatient hospital OT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inpatient OT evaluations (strength, ROM, ADLs, mobility).
• Develop and update individualized plans of care.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve independence and safety.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge planning and billing records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapy staff and case managers to coordinate care.
