Job summary

State of Connecticut is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist for the Learning Center Unit at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown. The role involves delivering OT services, assessments, and therapy aligned with physician prescriptions, within a multidisciplinary care team.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care, discharge planning, documentation, and collaboration across disciplines to support recovery. First shift, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM, Wednesday–Saturday.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Provides professional OT services per physician prescriptions.
• Engages in assessments and therapy for daily living, sensorimotor and psychosocial skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential OT services to support treatment needs and continuity of care.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with physician prescriptions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient-centered care.
• Ensure timely assessments and access to interventions supporting recovery and discharge.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
