Job summary

Essential Healthcare Management is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a part-time or PRN position at the West Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. The role focuses on helping patients regain independence and improve functional outcomes through individualized therapy plans.

You will evaluate, treat, and document patient progress, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure and registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including but not limited to stroke, spinal cord injury, and cognitive impairments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life.
• Conduct daily occupational therapy sessions, using a variety of techniques and strategies to achieve patient goals.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and make recommendations for improvement.
