Job summary

UCSF Health's Stanyan Rehabilitation Services seeks a Staff Occupational Therapist to provide inpatient care for adults and geriatric patients. The role includes evaluation, goal setting, and development of therapy plans, with potential pediatric work and IRF coverage at Stanyan and across UCSF campuses.

The incumbent will mentor OT students, participate in quality and safety initiatives, and maintain documentation with strong time management and communication.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general patient care experience, including 1 year in a relevant multidisciplinary setting within the past 5 years.
• Minimum of 40 hours of professional development activities, at least 50% CEUs or relevant coursework.
• Prior experience as a clinical preceptor and teaching diverse audiences.
• Ability to meet a staff-level clinical caseload.
• Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week across at least four days.
• Effective English communication skills, both oral and written.
• CPR certification or eligibility.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and online communication.
• Ability to mentor professional behaviors and time management.
• Willingness and ability to orient to all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a full range of occupational therapy services for adults and geriatrics.
• Perform patient evaluations using physical, cognitive, visual/perceptual, psychosocial, and developmental tests.
• Establish therapeutic goals and implement intervention plans.
• Supervise OT students and fellows as applicable.
• Participate in compliance, quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain patient records and manage time effectively.
