Job summary

Duke Raleigh Campus, a part of Duke University Health System, seeks an RN for the 37-bed inpatient medical/stepdown oncology unit (NP 5200). The RN will administer chemotherapy/immunotherapy as training is provided, participate in a 12-hour shift pattern (7P–7A), and support patient care across oncology services.

The role emphasizes teamwork with multidisciplinary staff, ongoing education for oncology competencies, and commitment to Duke Health's mission to advance health together.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or higher) is required.
• All nurses without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete within five years of start date.
• Nurses hired with a valid compact license must obtain NC nursing license within 90 days of start date.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients per physician orders and policies.
• Assist in development and implementation of general policies and responses.
• Provide direction and guidance to nursing staff and manage patient care plans.
