Job summary

Medix in Mountain View, CA, seeks an experienced oncology pharmacist to oversee inpatient oncology pharmacy services and support the infusion center in a collaborative community hospital setting. This role offers a balanced workload away from high-acuity centers, with a culture prioritizing employee well-being.

The position covers clinical operations oversight, QA/MUE/P&T involvement, chemotherapy coordination, and mentorship of students and staff. Licensure in CA and a Pharm.D.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited program.
• Active California State Pharmacist License (CA).
• Minimum 1-year accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.
• Oncology experience: 2+ years in oncology or completion of a PGY2 Oncology Residency.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Operations: Provide clinical pharmacy oversight for inpatient oncology units and infusion center.
• Quality & Governance: Lead QA initiatives, MUE, and participate in P&T committee reviews.
• Therapeutic Oversight: Coordinate chemotherapy administration and formulary management.
• Preceptorship & Mentorship: Educate pharmacy students, nursing staff, and medical personnel (optional).
