Job summary

Medix is seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to join a California hospital and cancer center. The role focuses on inpatient oncology services, chemotherapy management, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and staff.

Salary: $175,718 – $263,578 annually

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to join a highly respected hospital and growing cancer center in California. This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist who wants to make a meaningful impact on oncology services while working in a collaborative, supportive hospital environment.

The ideal candidate may be an experienced oncology pharmacist ready to take on a larger role in developing and improving inpatient oncology services, or a recent PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy graduate looking to transition into a community hospital environment with a more manageable pace and strong team support.

What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized clinical pharmacy services with a focus on oncology and chemotherapy management
• Coordinate and monitor inpatient and infusion center chemotherapy
• Provide medication management, education, and clinical guidance to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in medication use evaluations (MUEs), quality assurance initiatives, and Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee activities
• Support medication selection, dosing, administration, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Assist with formulary reviews and other clinical pharmacy initiatives
• Participate in pharmacy staff development and education
• Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students/residents, if interested
• Perform operational pharmacy shifts as part of the role
• Collaborate with the oncology team to evaluate and continuously improve clinical services

Required:

• Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy
• California driver's license
• Completion of a 1-year accredited pharmacy residency
• At least 1 year of experience compiling MUE or quality assurance data for Pharmacy & Therapeutics activities, or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of oncology pharmacy experience OR completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology
