Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to direct operations of inpatient units, ensuring quality patient care, efficient use of resources, and effective communication with patients, families, staff and physicians.

You will oversee 24/7 unit coverage, lead staff development, participate in hiring, orientation, performance reviews, and budget planning for your units, aligning with the hospital's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's in Nursing or related field required.
• Two (2) years of related experience required.
• Prior Leadership experience preferred.
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Direct operations of inpatient nursing unit(s).
• Ensure quality patient care and effective utilization of unit resources.
• Promote communication with patients/families, staff, physicians and other departments.
