Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to act as primary contact for resource allocation across UAB Hospital campuses, guiding patient care alignment with system priorities and clinical operations.

This full-time night shift role requires an RN license and strong critical care and ED background, with leadership responsibilities overseeing House Supervisors and STAT RNs to maintain safe, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing; two years related experience required.
• Critical care and ED nursing experience required.
• Alabama RN license or eligibility required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• To act as primary contact for allocating any resources related to patient care across all UAB Hospital campuses based on system needs.
• To collaborate with departmental leadership to implement decisions and to stay abreast of changing priorities.
• To oversee day-to-day clinical operations and decision making for UAB Hospital (all campuses).
• To provide operational oversight for the facilities-based House Supervisors and STAT RNs.
