Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Day shift in the Neuro CBMC service line at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. The APP delivers comprehensive inpatient neurosurgical care, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and supports discharge planning and post-discharge care.

Requirements include an NP/PA degree from an accredited program, active NJ APN or PA license, and current NP or PA certification. BLS/ACLS and DEA/CDS registrations are preferred to support practice.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP/PA program.
• Current, active New Jersey APN license with prescriptive authority, or NJ PA license.
• Current national certification as NP (AANP/ANCC) or PA (NCCPA).

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurosurgical care and management.
• Order, interpret, and communicate tests and results.
• Manage neurosurgical drains and CSF diversion systems.
• Perform bedside procedures and preoperative evaluations.
• Coordinate preoperative evaluations and patient preparation.
• Assist in the operating room as permitted.
