Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse Inpatient for the Delnor Neurology Unit to join our nights team. The role is full-time with three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m., with every third weekend and rotating holidays. As a clinically competent nurse, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, collaborate with physicians and families, and participate in unit governance.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops and implements an individualized plan, and evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Directs care and utilizes assistants appropriately.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to coordinate care.
• Participates in shared governance and unit projects.
• Documents patient responses and updates the plan of care.
• Uses the best available evidence to guide practice.
