Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Delnor Cardiac Telemetry Unit. This role supports patient-centered care across the nursing process, delivering compassionate, outcome-driven treatment in a high-acuity unit.

The position requires a BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS. You’ll work three 12-hour day shifts (7a–7:30p) with weekend rotation and rotating holidays; strong collaboration and analytical skills are essential to provide safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Directs care and determines the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and ancillary staff. Creates a documented plan focused on outcomes and decisions related to care and delivery of services.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents the patient’s responses to nursing interventions and adapts the plan of care accordingly.
• Uses best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.
