Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (Inpatient) to join our acute care team. The schedule features three 12-hour shifts per week (7p–7:30a) with every third weekend and rotating holidays required.

You will coordinate care for acutely ill patients, using evidence-based practice and ANA standards. Qualifications include a BSN, IL RN license, BLS, and strong collaboration and analytic skills.

Qualifications

• BSN required or preferred.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities and attention to quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, plans individualized care, coordinates delivery, and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and manages assistants involved in patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents care plans and communicates decisions.
• Participates in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates care plans accordingly.
• Uses evidence-based practice and ANA standards to guide nursing decisions.
