Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient neurology care at Bridgeport Hospital. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and complex neurological conditions.

The role requires collaboration across physicians, nurses, and support staff, with potential expansion to 24/7 coverage as the team grows. You will educate patients and families and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active PA Certification or NP license; ACLS/BLS as indicated are required by position.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurology consultation services at Bridgeport Hospital.
• Collaborate with neurologists, hospitalists, nursing teams, and other providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Support growth and development of the inpatient neuroscience service and participate in evolving coverage plans.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and available resources.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
