Job summary

Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide assessment, triage, and management across inpatient, ambulatory, or outpatient settings in New Haven, CT. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team under physician supervision, with autonomous practice within scope.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited NP/PA program; licensure and credentialing are required. EPIC EMR and 12-hour rotating shifts with 40 hours weekly are typical.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Clinical working experience as NP/PA is preferred but not required.
• APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff and credentialed.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs as part of an interdisciplinary team across inpatient, ambulatory, or outpatient settings.
• Performs histories, exams, orders/tests, and develops treatment plans; may prescribe within scope and institutional guidelines.
• May function as first/second assistant on operative cases within scope and prerequisites; participates in safety and quality initiatives.
