Riverside Hospital in Hampton, VA is seeking a licensed mental health professional to deliver evidence-based therapy services to patients and their families. You will provide individual, family, and group therapy, complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and document care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Active participation in rounds and collaboration with team members ensures discharge planning aligns with patient goals.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in a healthcare-related field such as counseling, psychology, social work, or related field (Required)
• 2 years clinical internship in a hospital or residential setting or clinical experience (Preferred)
• CPR/BLS, First Aid and LMHP licensure requirements within stated timeframes (Required) or equivalent supervised credentials

Responsabilités

• Accurately assesses biopsychosocial functioning and synthesizes information for treatment planning and summaries.
• Provides individual, family, and group therapy interventions appropriate for patient age and functioning.
• Serves as primary contact for families and educates on suicidality, diagnosis, and plan of care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and communicates patient needs to improve care.
• Completes medical record documentation per RBHC policy with timely progress notes.
• Uses supervision effectively and flags complex issues to leadership.
• Maintains relationships with referral sources and community providers.
• Assists during high census periods and contributes to non-patient care activities.
