Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc.’ Summit Oaks Hospital in Summit, NJ seeks a Mental Health Associate (MHA) to join a patient‑care driven team. Per diem position with no benefits; opportunities for extra shifts and overtime may arise.

The MHA supports care across units including adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, detox, and rehab, performing rounds, vital signs, groups, and code response as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• B.S. in health related field with one year psychiatric experience or two years in psychiatric setting with continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care and supervise patients as part of the treatment team.
• Take vital signs and monitor patients across pediatric to geriatric units.
• Lead educational groups and respond to codes as needed.
• Support on-unit activities in adult psych, dual diagnosis, child/adolescent, detox and rehab units.
