Job summary

Stamford Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team. This full-time mid-shift role runs from 2pm to 3am, with three 13-hour shifts and rotating weekends and holidays, matching our patient‑centered care philosophy.

You will deliver care using the Nursing Process, supervise non‑RN staff, and serve as a preceptor for new hires and students, while upholding Stamford Health policies and the highest standards of safety and compassion.

Qualifications

• Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• ASN required; BSN preferred or pursuing BSN.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one-year ED RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the Nursing Process and established standards.
• Supervise non-RN personnel and act as resource for ancillary staff on the unit.
• Preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested.
• Adhere to Stamford Health policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct.
