Job summary

Stamford Health is hiring a Fulltime Day Shift Dialysis RN for the Inpatient Dialysis Unit in Stamford, CT. The role covers four 10-hour shifts from 10am to 8pm with rotating weekends and holidays. On-call is required, including weeknights and full weekends in a six-week cycle.

The department emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care within a Planetree-aligned environment. The successful candidate will have an RN license in CT, BLS, and at least 2 years of acute care dialysis experience,

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• CT Registered Nurse license.
• BLS Certification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum 2 years of Acute Care Dialysis experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Pediatric/adult assessment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of the delivery system, dialysate bath, and dialyzer; ensure alarm tests are performed.
• Review physician orders and pre-treatment data; assess patient records prior to dialysis.
• Perform pre-dialysis assessments including vital signs and vascular access evaluation.
• Verify prescribed medications and conduct medication reconciliation.
• Document assessments and communicate changes to providers.
• Address patient concerns and provide education.
