Qualifications

• Six months of clerical/office/customer service experience indicating ability to acquire the duties of the Medical Support Assistant.
• One year of education above high school in an accredited school; transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clerical management and patient movement on inpatient units.
• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments and consults.
• Enter no-show information and monitor appointment requests from multiple electronic sources.
• Verify and update demographics and insurance information at patient check-in.
• Participate in huddles with clinic staff to determine daily needs.
• Monitor inpatient and outpatient appointments.
• Prepare reports and present data to various organizational levels.
