Responsibilities

  • Code inpatient records using ICD-10-CM, PCS, CPT/HCPCS for inpatient facility and professional services.
  • Abstract health information from records to ensure accuracy of DRG assignment and coding.
  • Consult with clinical staff to resolve documentation gaps and ensure coding compliance.
