Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years inpatient coding or CDI/review experience.
• Inpatient coding guidelines and DRG reimbursement know-how.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CMS/payer regulations.
• Experience with electronic health records and coding software.

Responsabilités

• Code primary/secondary diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM/PCS for inpatient records.
• Validate MS-DRG assignments and documentation support for payor requirements.
• Assess coding accuracy, sequencing, and medical necessity per CMS rules.
• Identify audit findings and communicate discrepancies clearly.
• Meet production and quality benchmarks in a fast-paced setting.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and provide backup support as needed.
