Qualifikationen

• Education or work experience as stated in job posting.
• Working knowledge of hospital Cerner EMR is required.
• Three years inpatient coding experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Abstracts and assigns ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for inpatient records to ensure accurate MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment.
• Collaborates with CDI and quality departments to identify HAC/PSI issues and communicate documentation gaps.
• Performs coding holds follow-up and reviews to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Attends coder education, audit reviews, meetings, and trainings.
• Keeps online Healthstream education up to date.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
