Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This 6-month assignment starts ASAP and follows PST hours, supporting a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment.

The role involves inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, NICU and other complex areas. CCS preferred; RHIT/RHIA credentials considered; experience with Epic EHR and 3M encoder required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• CCS preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will be considered.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes per standards and regulations.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a high-acuity environment.

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Additional complex inpatient cases
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Experience using the 3M encoder
