Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder for a fully remote contract opportunity with PST hours. This role focuses on high-acuity inpatient coding across multiple specialties within a leading health system.

The ideal candidate has a CCS (or RHIT/RHIA) credential, at least three years of inpatient coding experience, and proficiency with Epic EHR and the 3M encoder. This is a 6-month contract with potential extension and remote work.

Qualifications

• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered.
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and the 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and complex inpatient cases.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.

• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations
