Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, TX seeks an Inpatient Med Surg Charge Nurse (RN) for Night shift. The role supervises RNs/LVNs, coordinates care, and ensures smooth unit operations. It involves leadership in care planning, patient/family education, and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Required is RN licensure in Texas (or a compact state), BLS, and ACLS by orientation end. Academic credentials include a nursing degree; a BSN/MSN is preferred. Sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas RN licensure or Compact State.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification must be obtained by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise and support RNs/LVNs in care delivery.
• Lead nursing team and oversee shift transitions.
• Teach patients and families and liaise with physicians and staff.
• Document assessments and plans of care accurately.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond to emergent situations.
