Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a full-time Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Scranton, PA. Eligible candidates may receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $40,000 in financial support to become an RN, plus shift differentials up to $5 for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Hours are 7am–7:30pm, with every other weekend and holiday. The role involves direct patient care, care coordination, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Precepts and mentors new staff and students as assigned.
