Job summary
Geisinger is seeking a full-time Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Scranton, PA. Eligible candidates may receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $40,000 in financial support to become an RN. Market-leading hiring rates and up to $5 shift differentials apply to evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).
- LPN license and nursing credentials as required by state policy.
Responsibilities
- Contributes data to assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
- Reinforces patient and family education, discharge planning, and care coordination.
- Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policy.
- Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and plans of care.
- Initiates collaboration with physicians, staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Precepts and mentors new staff and students as assigned.
