Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for a 24-hour inpatient on-call assignment in Georgia. The role supports a dedicated STEMI program with a cath lab team and RN support, ensuring continuous inpatient cardiac care during the coverage period.

Responsibilities include STEMI coverage, TEEs, nuclear studies interpretation, and rounding on cardiology patients. ACLS certified clinicians with recent coronary intervention experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active board certification in Interventional Cardiology.
• Advanced cardiac life support certification required.
• Minimum 50 coronary interventions in past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on a 24-hour call.
• Perform TEEs and interpret nuclear studies.
• Read echocardiograms and stress tests; round on cardiology inpatients.
• Respond to STEMI activations and credentialed procedures.
