Job summary

LocumTenens.com in Georgia seeks an inpatient interventional cardiologist to provide 24-hour call coverage within a hospital that supports a dedicated STEMI program. Shifts run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, covering both weekdays and weekends with on-site RN and cath lab team support.

Applicants must have Advanced Life Support certification and be credentialed for interventional procedures, ready to respond to STEMI activations and perform necessary interventions while delivering continuous inpatient

Qualifications

• Advanced life support certification is required.
• Minimum 50 coronary interventions performed in the past 12 months.
• Be credentialed to perform interventional procedures.
• Prepare to provide 24-hour call coverage for inpatient cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on a 24-hour call basis.
• Support STEMI activations and perform interventions as credentialed.
• Interpret TEEs, nuclear studies, echocardiograms and stress tests.
• Round on inpatient cardiology patients and provide consults.
