Job summary

LocumTenens.com seeks an experienced interventional cardiologist to cover inpatient services in Georgia on a 24-hour call schedule, supporting a dedicated STEMI program. Shifts run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, with weekdays and weekends coverage, and on-site RN and cath lab team support.

The role requires advanced life support certification and a proven record of coronary interventions. TEEs, echocardiograms, and nuclear studies will be interpreted in this setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced life support certification is required.
• Minimum 50 coronary interventions performed in the past 12 months.
• Inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on a 24-hour call basis.
• Involves TEEs, interpretation of nuclear studies, echocardiograms and stress tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on a 24-hour call basis.
• Perform and interpret TEEs, echocardiograms and nuclear studies.
• Conduct inpatient consults and round on cardiology patients.
• Maintain readiness to respond to STEMI activations and perform interventional procedures as credentialed.
