Job summary

Medicus Healthcare Solutions, LLC partners with a hospital in southeast Georgia to recruit an Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage. The position involves a 24-hour weekend call (7a–7a) in an inpatient setting, performing interventional procedures and TEEs, and providing daily rounding and consults.

ACLS and DEA are required, and board-certification in cardiology is mandatory. Travel and lodging are provided through Medicus, with comprehensive malpractice coverage and licensing

Qualifications

• Board-certified in cardiology.
• ACLS and DEA certification required.
• Must be available for 24-hour weekend call.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional procedures and TEEs, take STEMI call, provide consults and daily rounding.
• Interpret nuclear studies, read echos and stress tests as part of patient workups.
• Collaborate with RNs and cath lab team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Admit, manage and discharge patients in inpatient setting with coverage.
