Qualifications

  • Must hold Advanced Practice RN or Physician Assistant licensure.
  • Experience in acute inpatient care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • PATIENT CARE - Assess, diagnose and develop treatment plans; implement and evaluate care.
  • PATIENT CARE - Conduct history and physical exams for procedures or admissions.
  • PATIENT CARE - Manage admitting orders, rounds, consultations and discharges.
  • PATIENT CARE - Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • PATIENT CARE - Order and interpret diagnostic tests; explain procedures to patient and family.
  • PATIENT CARE - Revise care plans with patient and family to improve health outcomes.
  • PATIENT CARE - Educate patients and families on prevention and treatment.
  • DOCUMENTATION - Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and communicate with health team.
  • PATIENT CARE - Collaborate with medical, nursing and counseling staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • EDUCATION - Guide and mentor nursing and medical staff; serve as clinical resource.
  • ROLE MODEL - Demonstrate professional conduct, leadership and ethical decision-making.
  • RESEARCH - Support research and incorporate findings into practice.
  • DEVELOPMENT - Pursue ongoing professional development through education and workshops.
  • PATIENT SAFETY - Adhere to patient safety policies and seek improvements.
  • PATIENT SAFETY - Proactively improve safety by questioning current policies.
  • PATIENT SAFETY - Report safety concerns and near misses promptly.
  • PATIENT SAFETY - Encourage patient participation in care and questions about treatment.
