Zusammenfassung

UNMH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the MDC department to deliver patient care and lead clinical activities under supervision. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, performing exams, coordinating with nurses and specialists, and educating patients and families.

The role requires APN/PA credentials, 1 year related experience, and prescriptive authority in New Mexico; relocation and sign-on bonuses are available.

Qualifikationen

• Program Graduate
• Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant
• 1 year directly related experience
• Bilingual English, Spanish or NM languages

Aufgaben

• Assess, diagnose and develop treatment plans; implement and follow up within scope of practice.
• Perform patient history and physical exams for procedures or admissions.
• Complete admitting orders, daily rounds and discharge summaries with the care team.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; explain procedures to patients and families.
• Evaluate and revise care plans with patient and family.
• Educate patients and families about preventive care and treatments.
• Document patient care accurately in medical records and communicate with staff.
• Collaborate with medical/nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Guide and support clinical staff; participate in education and research.
• Prioritize patient safety and participate in safety initiatives.
• Promote professional growth through ongoing education; attend workshops.
