Job summary

UNM Hospital seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to cover nights and cross-cover admissions in a fast-paced inpatient setting in Albuquerque. The APP will work with nocturnist attendings to admit medically complex patients and provide overnight triage for adult medicine, hematology, oncology, and transplant teams.

New graduates are welcome; a $100/night stipend is provided in addition to base pay, with relocation assistance available. Certifications and state licensure requirements apply."

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited APRN/PA program.
• Licensure as APRN or PA with NCCPA certification.
• Prescriptive authority and state DEA certification.

Responsibilities

• Admit medically complex patients overnight with nocturnist supervision.
• Triage, assess, and intervene on acute overnight patient issues.
• Document care, orders and handoffs to daytime team.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures within scope.
• Educate patients and families on care and prevention.
