Job summary

TruBridge is seeking a Coding Advocate to handle medical coding and data entry/abstraction for Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits. The role focuses on coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases, using the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline the coding and billing process.

Qualifications include a 2-year degree or equivalent, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and inpatient coding experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS; familiarity with DRG assignment and physician queries is required.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience with AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases.
• Experience with 3M 360 Encoder HDM required.
• Inpatient coding experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG assignment.
• Ability to create compliant physician queries.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and PCS primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Determine accurate DRG.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Create compliant physician queries.
• Update problem lists per client contract.
• Float between sites and coding specialties as needed.
