Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Specialty Hospital of Rocky Mount, a 50-bed high-acuity long-term acute care hospital in Rocky Mount, NC. We are seeking a PRN pharmacist to support safe and effective medication management for medically complex patients.

The Pharmacist II verifies physician orders, adjusts dosages per protocols, educates patients, and supervises Pharmacy Technicians while ensuring accreditation and compliance tasks are performed.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree (PharmD) or equivalent.
• Licensed to practice in North Carolina in good standing.
• Hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
• IV compounding experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with pharmacy information systems and computer literacy.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and shift work.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders using the pharmacy information system and adjust dosages per protocols.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and ensure compliant, efficient operations.
• Manage narcotics control, inventory, and accreditation tasks.
