Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Specialty Hospital of Rocky Mount, a 50-bed facility in Rocky Mount, NC. A PRN Staff Clinical Pharmacist is sought to support safe medication management for complex patients and to supervise technicians within a hospital-based program.

The role requires NC licensure, a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, and hospital experience. Expect about four shifts per month with on-call coverage; the schedule is in-person, with outpatient and accreditation duties as needed.

Formación

• Licensed Pharmacist in North Carolina (active/without restrictions).
• Inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• IV compounding experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and health care professionals.
• Strong customer service and computer literacy for pharmacy information systems.

Responsabilidades

• Verify physician orders using the pharmacy information system and adjust dosages per established protocols.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians to ensure compliant operations.
• Educate patients on medications and expected effects, including discharge planning.
• Manage narcotics control, inventory, and related compliance tasks.
• Conduct regular audits of outdated medications and participate in accreditation activities.
• Coordinate with Nurses and Physicians to verify orders and obtain additional information.
• Assist Pharmacy Director with policy changes and system implementations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
