• Associates degree or higher in Health Information Management or related field.
• Current HIM/coding certification through AHIMA or AAPC.
• Five years of medical coding experience.

Responsabilités

• Supervises coding staff and assists management in day-to-day department operations related to reimbursement, coding, abstracting, productivity, quality and education.
• Ensures coding backlogs and charge lag remain at acceptable levels.
• Acts as expert coding resource to coders, providers, revenue cycle, specialty groups and meetings.
• Manages personnel: interviewing, hiring, coaching, discipline and performance evaluation.
• Develops and maintains coding policies, procedures, and training materials.
