Job summary

Trustbridge Hospice, a member of Empath Health, seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Care Center in West Palm Beach. This PRN role offers 7:00 am–7:30 pm shifts with weekend availability, delivering high-quality end-of-life care with dignity and respect.

You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs, coordinate care, educate families, and ensure comfort and quality of life in a supportive, mission-driven hospice environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• One year in public health, home nursing, oncology, medical/surgical, geriatric or hospice nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient and family care with the primary physician and IDG.
• Conduct assessments of patient and family needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of care per the care plan.
• Monitor patient conditions and provide interventions to improve comfort and QoL.
• Address concerns to maintain high satisfaction and trust.

What You’ll Do:

As an RN in our inpatient care center, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering compassionate end-of-life care:

• Coordinate patient and family care in collaboration with the primary physician and interdisciplinary team (IDG)
• Conduct thorough assessments of patient and family needs
• Ensure timely and coordinated delivery of interventions and services outlined in the care plan
• Use your clinical expertise to monitor patient conditions, provide interventions, and deliver education that enhances comfort and quality of life
• Address concerns promptly and thoughtfully to ensure a high level of satisfaction and trust

What You’ll Need

• Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• One year in public health, home nursing care, oncology nursing, medical/surgical nursing, geriatric nursing or Hospice nursing preferred.
• Understanding of and ability to apply characteristics of Hospice Nursing: case management, crisis intervention, communication skills, teaching skills, thanatology skills and needs
• Basic computer skills and EMR software experience a plus.
• Adequate and reliable means of transportation with adequate insurance and valid Florida driver’s license
