Job summary

Bluegrass Care Navigators is seeking an Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for our team. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, skilled nursing care to patients and their families in inpatient units and hospital settings, aligning with physician orders and the hospice plan of care.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, manage symptoms, provide end-of-life support, and educate families. KY licensure and a minimum of two years' nursing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional (registered) nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of two (2) years of general nursing experience preferred; hospice, home health, medical-surgical, or critical care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in pain management; IV therapy skills preferred.
• Demonstrates clinical competence and the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with patients and families while respecting diverse lifestyles and beliefs.
• Maintains current CPR certification
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently while exercising appropriate judgment.

Responsibilities

• The RN delivers skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders, the hospice plan of care, regulatory requirements, and policies.
• Inpatient hospice unit and hospital settings: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care including symptom management.
• Educate patients and families about end-of-life care and available services.
