Job summary

3HC Home Health & Hospice Care Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Hospice Nurse, RN to provide skilled nursing care for patients requiring continuous inpatient support. The role involves weekend rotation and, when needed, weekend shifts.

You will conduct admissions, assess medical history and co-morbidities, document care, educate patients and families, supervise CNAs, and collaborate with supervisors to ensure compassionate, compliant care in a restraint-free, smoke-free campus environment.

Qualifications

• Nurse must hold NC RN license and be in good standing.
• Minimum two years of professional nursing experience.
• Oncology/acute care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Abides by the agency's Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
• Creates positive experiences for patients and families, and internal customers.
• Handles admission by taking history and performing a physical assessment.
• Provides comfort to patients and families to support quality of life and dignity.
• Completes electronic documentation each shift.
• Teaches and counsels patients and families on care needs and discharge planning.
• Supervises the CNA team for assigned patients.
• Maintains regular communication with the supervisor.
• Keeps current on overall patient care and nursing skills.
• Demonstrates growth, cost-consciousness, and adherence to policies.

Education

Registered Nurse licensed in NC
