Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine in Houston seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for inpatient hematology at the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center. The APP will manage admissions, perform rounds, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with hematology teams.

Responsibilities include daily rounds, intake meetings, tumor boards, and possible hematology procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures with intrathecal therapy.

Qualifications

• NP must hold a Texas RN license and APRN-NP licensure.
• PA must hold Texas PA license.
• Specialty certification as required by department.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe treatments per scope and institutional protocols.
• Maintain and document medical records in the EHR.
• Discharge planning and coordination of inpatient care.
• Participate in daily rounds, intake meetings, and tumor boards.
