Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for Inpatient Hematology with rotating shifts at the James Cancer Hospital. The APP works in collaboration with a physician and health care team to deliver comprehensive inpatient care.

Responsibilities include care across acute and chronic illness, patient education, prevention, and appropriate referrals. Eligible candidates must hold APRN licensure in Ohio or PA-C with physician supervision, and

Qualifications

• Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in Ohio.
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for national certification.
• Master of Science Degree in Nursing.
• 0 years of relevant experience required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• OR Masters Prepared; Graduate of a PA-C program that qualifies the graduate to sit for NCCPA exams.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to patients working with a licensed physician.
• Care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education and counseling of individuals and families.
• Health promotion and prevention.
• Referral to other health care providers and community resources when appropriate.

Education

APRN or PA-C degree

MSN or higher in nursing
