Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s degree.
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program; Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding with Hematology Consult Service to present new and follow-up patients with the attending.
• Take patient histories, perform physicals, and document findings in the medical record.
• Order and schedule relevant labs and imaging for hematologic disorders.
• Perform bone marrow aspirates and biopsies when indicated.
• Coordinate outpatient discharge planning and follow-up with the appropriate provider.
• Share pager coverage for medication approvals and lab follow-ups.
