Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center's Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our Cellular Therapy and Blood Cancers Inpatient clinic. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant serves as a key clinical provider within a multidisciplinary team, managing patients with hematologic malignancies undergoing intensive therapies.

Scheduled Hours: 10 shifts (no weekends or holidays).

Qualifications

• Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider experience is preferred.
• Master's degree in nursing with Texas BON authorization and clinical practice alignment.
• Graduate of ARC-PA accredited PA program (PA licensure).

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document initial and ongoing physical exams.
• Develop and evaluate the plan of care with orders and interpretations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in clinical procedures as trained.
• Provide management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Participate in quality initiatives to improve practice and outcomes.
• Collaborate on research protocols and apply evidence-based practices.
