Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to support inpatient medical and gynecologic oncology services at the Tyler location. The role involves direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care in collaboration with physicians, with typical hours Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

The ideal candidate may be a PA, AG-ACNP, or ACNP, or a Nurse Practitioner with MSN, and 0–3 years of experience is common. Inpatient rounds and on-call duties may be required, with opportunities for leadership and

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for oncology inpatients.
• Initiate and document interventions; prescribe therapies as indicated.
• Perform procedures after appropriate training.
• Educate patients and families; promote wellness and connect to resources.
• Rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hour calls.
